ATHF:MFFT

The last three weeks have been pretty busy. Friday was the last day of the 5th Six-Weeks, so there was a fair bit of grading and such. And TAKS testing is next week, so there's been some last-minute cramming for that, too.

I've spent nearly every free evening with Deanna. Mostly we're either working on grading or whatever or just hanging out. With some of my tax refund I did purchase a Hoover SteamVac, so there was one evening I brought that over and we tested it out. Lots of fun for neat freaks like us.

Easter has come and gone. We had an enormous band: two electric guitars, one acoustic guitar (me), keyboard, drums, percussion, bass guitar and two background vocalists. It was very, very cool. Of course, I used everybody up, so this week it was just a trio: me on electric and acoustic as necessary, and bass and drums. You never know what you're going to get.

I played a little bit more Mario 64, but I'd also preordered Super Paper Mario, and that was released on Tuesday. So I've played nearly eight hours of that in the past five days. It's not as "RPG" as the previous game, but still pretty enjoyable.

And last night Deanna and I got a chance to catch Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theatres. I'll just say two things:

  1. If you like the show, you'll like the movie, and
  2. there's no super-compelling reason to watch it on the big screen vs. just renting the DVD when it comes out.

It was well-worth the trip, however.
